  • Manage and liaise with external legal counsel for complex litigation matters.
  • Prepare case strategies, draft pleadings, and ensure timely submission of legal documents.
  • Monitor ongoing litigation cases and provide periodic updates to senior management.
Contract Drafting & Vetting:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents (e.g., NDAs, service agreements, supply agreements, MOUs, etc.).
  • Provide legal opinions and advice on contractual matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that contracts comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and commercial objectives.
Regulatory & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and advise the management team on potential risks and implications.
MIS & Reporting:

  • Maintain a comprehensive Legal MIS for the organization to track all ongoing litigation, contracts, and legal matters.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on litigation status, contract compliance, and legal risk exposure.
  • Track key legal metrics and provide timely updates to the Head of Legal.
Legal Advisory & Risk Management:

  • Provide sound legal advice and solutions to mitigate potential legal risks.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure legal risks are managed effectively.
  • Conduct legal research to support ongoing matters and provide legal opinions as needed.
Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, HR, operations, and business units to offer legal advice.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial laws, contract law, and litigation processes.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiating, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Sound judgment, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in legal research and use of MIS systems.
