Position: Manager/Sr. Manager - Legal
Qualification: LLB,LLM

Job description

Key Responsibilities:
1. Litigation:
  • Oversee and manage all litigation matters, including disputes, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel and ensure timely submission of legal documents and responses.
  • Develop litigation strategies to minimize legal risks and mitigate any potential impact on the organization.
2. Non-Litigation:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents(e.g.,vendor agreements, partnership agreements, MOUs).
  • Provide sound legal advice on business operations, corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Manage corporate compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the business in any new ventures or deals by assessing legal risks and implications.
3. Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of legal professionals to ensure effective handling of all legal issues.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and ensure professional development of the legal team.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal alignment with business objectives.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate laws, including SEBI regulations, company law, labor laws, and intellectual property rights.
  • Act as a liaison with government bodies and regulators when required.
5. Risk Mitigation:
  • Identify potential legal risks and provide proactive advice and solutions.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies across the organization.
  • Assist in the design and enforcement of company policies to mitigate risks.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Qualification: LL.B/LL.M from a reputed law school.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of legal experience in corporate legal matters, with a
strong focus on litigation, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
Industry Knowledge:
-Experience in Fintech/Healthcare/Impact sectors will be a plus.
-Strong knowledge of Indian laws and regulations, corporate law, and contract law.
-Proven track record of managing litigation and non-litigation matters.
-Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
