Position: Manager / Senior Manager Legal
Qualification: LLB,LLM
Experience: 13 to 18 years
Location: Mumbai


Job description

  • Draft and negotiate legal documents related to property transactions, such as Letter of Intent, sale agreements, lease agreements, leave and License Agreements and MOUs, confidentiality agreements, etc.
  • To strategize, plan, initiate and defend the legal action before the judicial, quasi-judicial authorities, tribunals, labour courts, consumer forums and administrative bodies etc.
  • Provide support to the business team in concluding the business contracts and resolving of the legal issues involved therein including the stamp duties under different states.
  • Drafting of Legal Notices and reply to notices. Briefing the counsels, follow-ups and extending guidance to the company representatives on appearance in various courts.
  • Review of the progress of litigations with business, operations team with specific advice, guidance on action plan and course of action for the speedy disposal.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary to resolve complex legal issues or disputes.
  • Going through case papers (OS/CC, etc), track & Update on assigned cases.
  • Coordinating with advocates regarding cases and updating them with documents.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on property titles, identifying any discrepancies or issues that may affect the legality of transactions.
  • Participate in property title searches and investigations to assess potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with the other departments to ensure adherence to RERA regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Keep accurate records of all legal transactions and maintain organized documentation archives.
  • Coordinate or Liaison with Department towards land papers, Sanction Plan, CLU, Conversions, documents.
  • Apply required documents from the respective department / Liaison to get the documents.
  • Review and analyze property documents, including agreements, deeds, and contracts, to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Attend Bank and Customer queries.
  • Review of bank documents such as Tripartite Agreements, Nocs, Bank Guarantee etc.\'
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance on real estate laws, regulations, and best practices to internal teams.
