Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- **Financial Reporting and Analysis: **
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and budgets.
- Collaborate with Power BI team to generate reports for various stakeholders.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- **Management Information Systems (MIS):**
- Develop, implement, and maintain MIS to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
- Create dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to support decision-making processes.
- **Accounting: **
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including AP/AR, GL, and reconciliations.
- Manage audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
- **Financial Planning and Strategy: **
- Develop financial strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Participate in long-term financial planning and risk management.
- Advise senior management on financial matters and potential impacts of business decisions.
- **Team Leadership and Development: **
- Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant. A Masters degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a financial management role.
- Expertise in Power BI for data visualization and reporting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of MIS and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a team.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Accounting, Power BI and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior management.
