Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - Legal, 5 to 6 years in Mumbai

Job Description

• Drafting, vetting and negotiation of contracts and other legal documents related to content creation, distribution, licensing and syndication across different vectors (TV and digital), marketing, intellectual property rights and Shemaroo\'s Business;
• Due diligence, research & analysis of documents and content and giving preliminary opinion;
• Providing legal protection and risk management advice to Legal Team/management especially on contract management
• Providing legal advice on IPR, regulatory and other general laws;
• Keeping abreast of the legal statues and ordinances related to different laws applicable and a keen learner;
• Maintain high level of accuracy in all the assigned work.
• Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal customers promoting the value of the legal function, advising on new and forthcoming legislation and regulation

• 5-6 years [atleast 4 years of experience in a similar role within the media and entertainment industry]
• Fair exposure in drafting and negotiating production, acquisition and syndication contracts, NDAs, indemnity, letters, notices, replies etc
• Knowledge and exposure to IPR laws, new media laws and the regulations thereto
