Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Drafting Pleadings/Replies:
- Draft and vet pleadings and replies related to SRA matters.
- Attend hearings before CEO SRA, ARS (Appellate and Review Authority), AGRC (Authority for Grievance Redressal Committee), and other relevant authorities.
- Ensure replies and legal documents are proficiently drafted and dictated in Marathi.
Legal Proceedings:
- Draft and review legal pleadings and documents for cases before authorities including Revenue Authorities, High Court, City Civil Court, RERA, Consumer Court, and other relevant courts.
- Attend hearings and ensure timely and accurate submission of all legal documentation.
Counsel Briefing & Coordination:
- Brief senior external counsels, provide necessary case documentation, and coordinate with them for court appearances.
- Ensure all case-related requirements and deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Litigation & Case Management:
- Oversee and manage a portfolio of litigation cases, ensuring proper follow-up, resolution, and timely updates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of legal proceedings and documentation.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all legal documentation complies with relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
- Oversee proper filing and record-keeping for audits, litigation, and compliance purposes.
Research & Legal Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and the development of legal strategies.
- Analyze complex legal issues and provide sound recommendations to senior management.
Team Leadership & Process Improvement:
- Lead and mentor the legal team, ensuring efficient workflow and consistent quality of legal output.
- Continuously evaluate legal processes and suggest improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Experience:
- Minimum 10-20 years of experience in the legal domain, particularly in real estate law and litigation management.
- Proven experience handling SRA-related matters and real estate litigation is essential.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university; additional legal certifications or postgraduate qualifications will be an advantage.
